The price of Japanese platinum bar closed Feb. 4, 2013 at JPY 5,075 ($55.33) per gram, halting its two-day flat run with a 3.1 percent shift. Chinese platinum bar prices rose 1.3 percent to CNY 360.50 ($57.97) per gram. For the 41st day in a row, the price of US platinum bar rose and is currently at $1,674 per ounce.
After a 1.7 percent increase, Chinese palladium bar finished the day at CNY 183.00 ($29.43) per gram. At JPY 2,249 ($24.52), the price of Japanese palladium bar finished the market day up 1.6 percent per gram. After dropping for two days, the price of US palladium bar flattened at $741.00.
Japanese gold bullion finished the day up 1.5 percent to JPY 4,987 ($54.37) per gram. The price of Chinese gold bullion increased 0.6 percent to CNY 336.67 ($54.14) per gram. Following a two-day drop, the price of Indian gold bullion increased by 0.5 percent to INR 30,138 ($566.29) per 10 grams. The price of US gold bullion remained essentially flat at $1,664 per ounce.
Chinese silver prices inched up 0.9 percent to CNY 6,390 ($1,028) per kilogram. Indian silver gained 0.6 percent to finish at INR 57,589 ($1,082) per kilogram. Japanese silver stayed flat at around JPY 928.00 ($10.12) per 10 grams. The price of US silver showed little movement on Monday at $31.47 per ounce.
