US Copper Producer Grade 122 Price Improves 1.1%

US copper producer grade 110 price saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 1.1 percent to close at $4.41 per pound on Feb. 4, 2013. The price of US copper producer grade 122 rose 1.1 percent to $4.41 per pound. At $4.60, the price of US copper producer grade 102 finished the market day up 1.1 percent per pound. The Japanese copper cash price held steady at JPY 640,000 ($6,978) per metric ton.

Chinese copper closed mixed on Monday. Chinese copper wire prices rose 0.8 percent to CNY 59,150 ($9,511) per metric ton. Chinese copper bar gained 0.8 percent to finish at CNY 59,950 ($9,640) per metric ton. The cash price of Chinese copper rose 0.8 percent to CNY 60,150 ($9,672) per metric ton. Chinese bright copper scrap saw little change in its price on Monday at CNY 48,760 ($7,841) per metric ton.

On the LME, the primary copper cash price declined 0.3 percent to $8,189 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the copper 3-month price fell 0.1 percent to $8,160 per metric ton.
