The copper cash price saw the biggest increase at 0.9 percent on the LME, finishing at $8,264 per metric ton for Feb. 5, 2013. Also on the LME, the copper 3-month price rose 0.8 percent to $8,226 per metric ton.
The price of US copper producer grade 122 fell 0.5 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 110 also declined 0.5 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 102 saw a 0.4 percent decline.
The Japanese copper cash price saw little movement.
Chinese copper closed mixed on Tuesday. Chinese copper wire closed 0.3 percent lower. Chinese copper bar prices saw a 0.3 percent decline. The cash price of Chinese copper weakened by 0.3 percent. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap remained steady.
