Current Aluminum Prices
The cash price of primary Indian aluminum fell 1.2 percent on Feb. 6, 2013, making it the day’s biggest mover on MetalMiner’s daily pricing service.
On the LME, the primary aluminum cash price declined 0.2 percent to $2,074 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the aluminum 3-month price held steady around $2,116 per metric ton.
Chinese aluminum prices were mixed for the day. The cash price of Chinese aluminum weakened by 0.1 percent. Chinese aluminum scrap saw little change in its price yesterday. The price of Chinese aluminum billet held steady. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese aluminum bar held flat.
Current Copper Prices
On Feb. 6, 2013, the day’s biggest mover was Chinese copper bar, which saw a 0.3 percent increase. The cash price of Chinese copper rose 0.3 percent as well. Chinese copper wire saw little change in its price yesterday. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap remained steady.
After a 0.2 percent increase, the price of US copper producer grade 122 finished the day up. The price of US copper producer grade 110 also gained 0.2 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 102 increased 0.2 percent too.
The Japanese copper cash price continues hovering in place for the fifth day in a row.
