The cash price of Chinese copper rose 0.3 percent to CNY 60,100 ($9,649) per metric ton. Chinese copper wire saw little change in its price yesterday at CNY 58,950 ($9,464) per metric ton. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap remained steady at CNY 48,760 ($7,828) per metric ton.
After a 0.2 percent increase, the price of US copper producer grade 122 finished the day at $4.40 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 110 gained 0.2 percent to finish at $4.40 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 increased 0.2 percent to $4.59 per pound. The Japanese copper cash price continues hovering around JPY 640,000 ($6,839) per metric ton for the fifth day in a row.
On the LME, the primary copper cash price inched up 0.2 percent to $8,285 per metric ton. At $8,242, the copper 3-month price finished the market day on the LME up 0.2 percent per metric ton.
