Japanese Platinum Bar Moves Up 1.6%

On Feb. 7, 2013, Japanese platinum bar jumped up 1.6 percent, landing at JPY 5,247 ($56.14) per gram and making it the day’s biggest increase. US platinum bar saw its price rise 1.6 percent to $1,734 per ounce. Chinese platinum bar finished the day up 1.2 percent to CNY 368.50 ($59.15) per gram.

Japanese palladium bar prices inched up 0.4 percent to JPY 2,251 ($24.08) per gram. Following two days of rising prices, the price of US palladium bar dropped 0.3 percent to $762.00 per ounce. The price of Chinese palladium bar remained essentially flat at CNY 184.00 ($29.53) per gram.

After a 0.3 percent increase, Indian gold bullion finished the day at INR 30,398 ($571.82) per 10 grams. After two flat days, the price of Chinese gold bullion inched up 0.3 percent on Thursday to CNY 337.80 ($54.22). Japanese gold bullion prices rose 0.3 percent to JPY 5,062 ($54.16) per gram. At $1,677, the price of US gold bullion finished the market day up 0.2 percent per ounce.

Japanese silver ended the day at JPY 921.00 ($9.85) per 10 grams, after the 1.0 percent drop yesterday. The price of Indian silver increased 0.4 percent to INR 57,876 ($1,089) per kilogram. Following a two-day rise, the price of US silver flattened at $31.85. The price of Chinese silver showed little movement yesterday at CNY 6,405 ($1,028) per kilogram.
