Weekly Automotive Metals Index: US Platinum Price Gains Big

The US platinum bar price improved by 11.9 percent on the weekly Automotive MMI®.

The price of US palladium bar rose 2 percent over the past week. This was the fourth week in a row of increasing prices.

The price of US HDG rose 0.4 percent after falling 0.9 percent during the previous week. Following a 1.5 percent increase in the week prior, the price of Chinese lead fell 0.3 percent last week.

Last week, the copper 3-month price increased by a slight 0.3 percent on the LME to $8,199 per metric ton. The copper cash price shifted slightly on the LME, rising by 0.2 percent to close at $8,230 per metric ton.
