Japanese Silver Moves Down 1.7%

On Feb. 12, 2013, the day’s biggest mover was Japanese silver, which saw a 1.7 percent decline to JPY 892.00 ($9.47) per 10 grams. The price of US silver fell 1.5 percent to $30.95 per ounce. At INR 56,854 ($1,056) per kilogram, Indian silver fell 1.4 percent on Tuesday. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese silver held flat at CNY 6,405 ($1,028) per kilogram.

US gold bullion finished the day down 1.1 percent to $1,648 per ounce. Japanese gold bullion ended the day at JPY 4,970 ($52.76) per gram, after the 0.9 percent drop yesterday. Indian gold bullion prices saw a 0.7 percent decline to INR 30,204 ($560.80) per 10 grams. The price of Chinese gold bullion remained steady at CNY 337.80 ($54.19) per gram.

The price of US platinum bar declined 1.5 percent to $1,686 per ounce. Japanese platinum bar closed 0.5 percent lower at JPY 5,108 ($54.23) per gram. Chinese platinum bar held its value yesterday at CNY 368.50 ($59.12) per gram.

At JPY 2,252 ($23.91), the price of Japanese palladium bar finished the market day up 1.4 percent per gram. After a 0.7 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $757.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar stayed flat at around CNY 184.00 ($29.52) per gram.
