US Platinum Bar Drifts 2%

US platinum bar had the largest decline on Feb. 22, 2013, dropping 2.0 percent and landing at $1,614 per ounce. Japanese platinum bar closed 0.5 percent lower at JPY 4,872 ($52.30) per gram. Chinese platinum bar prices inched up 0.3 percent to CNY 349.00 ($55.93) per gram.

The price of US palladium bar fell 0.9 percent to $732.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar finished the day up 0.6 percent to CNY 179.00 ($28.69) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar continues hovering around JPY 2,240 ($24.05) per gram for the fifth day in a row.

The price of Chinese gold bullion is back up, rising by 1.3 percent last Friday to close at CNY 321.40 ($51.51) per gram. Following a two-day drop, the price of Japanese gold bullion increased by 1.0 percent to JPY 4,762 ($51.12) per gram. After falling for two days, the price of US gold bullion rose 0.8 percent to $1,577 per ounce. Indian gold bullion saw its price rise 0.6 percent to INR 29,314 ($538.07) per 10 grams.

The price of Chinese silver rose 0.9 percent to CNY 5,910 ($947.11) per kilogram after a two-day drop. After a 0.8 percent increase, Indian silver finished the day at INR 53,991 ($991.02) per kilogram. Following a 0.4 percent rise last Friday, the price of US silver closed at $28.68 per ounce. At JPY 797.00 ($8.56) per 10 grams, the price of Japanese silver was essentially unchanged.
