Japanese Palladium Bar Rises 2.2%

On Feb. 27, 2013, Japanese palladium bar jumped up 2.2 percent, landing at JPY 2,267 ($24.60) per gram and making it the day’s biggest increase. US palladium bar prices rose 1.0 percent to $740.00 per ounce. After two flat days, the price of Chinese palladium bar inched up 0.6 percent on Wednesday to CNY 180.00 ($28.89).

Japanese platinum bar gained 1.0 percent to finish at JPY 4,773 ($51.80) per gram. The price of US platinum bar is back up, rising by 0.9 percent on Wednesday to close at $1,618 per ounce. The price of Chinese platinum bar increased 0.6 percent to CNY 348.00 ($55.86) per gram.

US gold bullion saw its price rise 1.3 percent to $1,615 per ounce. Japanese gold bullion prices inched up 0.8 percent to JPY 4,754 ($51.59) per gram. Indian gold bullion finished the day up 0.8 percent to INR 29,585 ($546.90) per 10 grams. At CNY 326.69 ($52.44), the price of Chinese gold bullion finished the market day up 0.2 percent per gram.

After a 1.5 percent increase, US silver finished the day at $29.43 per ounce. Japanese silver prices rose 0.6 percent to JPY 862.00 ($9.35) per 10 grams. At CNY 5,970 ($958.34), the price of Chinese silver finished the market day up 0.2 percent per kilogram. At INR 54,116 ($1,000) per kilogram, Indian silver fell 0.2 percent on Wednesday.
