Loss Streak Still Going for Cash Price of Primary Indian Aluminum

The Indian aluminum cash price saw the biggest decline of the day, dropping 0.7 percent to close at INR 105.40 ($1.96) per kilogram on Feb. 28, 2013. The 3-month price of aluminum rose 0.1 percent on the LME to $2,016 per metric ton after a two-day drop. The cash price of primary aluminum flattened at $1,971 following two-days of declines on the LME.

Chinese aluminum prices were mixed for the day. Chinese aluminum billet finished the day down 0.3 percent to CNY 14,400 ($2,312) per metric ton. The cash price of Chinese aluminum fell 0.3 percent to CNY 14,480 ($2,325) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap remained essentially flat at CNY 12,005 ($1,928) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum bar saw little movement at CNY 14,050 ($2,256) per metric ton.
