After falling 0.7 percent, Chinese steel plate landed at CNY 4,310 ($692.62) per metric ton and making it the week’s biggest mover on the weekly Renewables MMI®. At CNY 210,000 ($33,747) per metric ton, the week finished with no movement for Chinese cobalt cathodes. Silicon remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 13,500 ($2,169) per metric ton. At CNY 425,000 ($68,331) per metric ton, the price of neodymium did not change since the previous week.
Japanese steel plate prices held steady from the previous week at JPY 80,000 ($827.85) per metric ton. Prices for Korean steel plate remained constant, closing the week at KRW 1.1 million ($1,014) per metric ton. The price of Chinese steel plate declined 0.7 percent over the past week, settling at CNY 4,310 ($692.62) per metric ton. US steel plate prices held steady from the previous week at $728.00 per short ton.
