Price For Indian Silver Shoots Up 5.1%

Indian silver saw a 5.1 percent increase on March 27, 2013, reaching INR 56,449 ($1,038) per kilogram and making it the biggest upwards shift of the day. At JPY 873.00 ($9.22) per 10 grams, Japanese silver fell 0.5 percent yesterday. US silver finished the day down 0.3 percent to $28.76 per ounce. The price of Chinese silver declined 0.2 percent to CNY 5,890 ($948.11) per kilogram.

The price of Indian gold bullion rose 4.8 percent to INR 30,927 ($568.82) per 10 grams after a two-day drop. US gold bullion closed 0.4 percent lower at $1,600 per ounce. After falling for two days, the price of Japanese gold bullion rose 0.4 percent to JPY 4,869 ($51.45) per gram. Chinese gold bullion ended the day at CNY 320.17 ($51.54) per gram, after the 0.2 percent drop on Wednesday.

The price of Japanese platinum bar increased 0.6 percent to JPY 4,810 ($50.82) per gram. US platinum bar prices saw a0.4 percent decline to $1,574 per ounce. At CNY 335.00 ($53.92), the price of Chinese platinum bar finished the market day up 0.3 percent per gram.

Following a two-day drop, the price of Chinese palladium bar increased by 1.2 percent to CNY 174.00 ($28.01) per gram. US palladium bar prices rose 0.5 percent to $761.00 per ounce. At JPY 2,345 ($24.78) per gram, the price of Japanese palladium bar was essentially unchanged.
