Indian Silver Price Gains 5.3%

With a 5.3 percent increase on March 29, 2013, Indian silver was the biggest mover on the Global Precious Metals MMI®. Chinese silver prices saw a 1.7 percent decline to CNY 5,755 ($926.32) per kilogram. The price of US silver fell 1.2 percent to $28.36 per ounce. The price of Japanese silver remained steady at JPY 873.00 ($9.27) per 10 grams.

Japanese gold bullion finished the day down 0.7 percent to JPY 4,832 ($51.30) per gram. At CNY 319.50 ($51.43) per gram, Chinese gold bullion fell 0.6 percent yesterday. US gold bullion ended the day at $1,596 per ounce, after the 0.6 percent drop on Thursday. Indian gold bullion held its value yesterday at INR 29,564 ($544.60) per 10 grams.

The price of US platinum bar declined 0.8 percent to $1,567 per ounce. Following two days of rising prices, the price of Japanese platinum bar dropped 0.4 percent to JPY 4,796 ($50.92) per gram. Chinese platinum bar closed 0.3 percent lower at CNY 334.00 ($53.76) per gram.

Chinese palladium bar finished the day up 1.1 percent to CNY 176.00 ($28.33) per gram. After a 0.7 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $771.00 per ounce. At JPY 2,302 ($24.44) per gram, Japanese palladium bar fell 0.5 percent on Thursday.
