Indian Silver Drops 6.7%

Indian silver had the largest decline on April 1, 2013, dropping 6.7 percent and landing at INR 52,621 ($969.34) per kilogram. Monday saw the price of Japanese silver drift down 2.5 percent to JPY 851.00 ($9.03) per 10 grams after a couple of stagnant days. The price of US silver fell 0.2 percent to $28.30 per ounce. The price of Chinese silver flattened at CNY 5,755 ($926.18) following two-days of declines.

After a 0.2 percent increase, Chinese gold bullion finished the day at CNY 320.14 ($51.52) per gram. At INR 29,526 ($543.90) per 10 grams, Indian gold bullion fell 0.1 percent yesterday. Japanese gold bullion closed 0.1 percent lower at JPY 4,826 ($51.19) per gram. US gold bullion held its value yesterday at $1,598 per ounce.

The price of Japanese platinum bar declined 0.4 percent to JPY 4,778 ($50.68) per gram. The price of Chinese platinum bar held steady at CNY 334.00 ($53.75) per gram. US platinum bar saw little change in its price yesterday at $1,567 per ounce.

Chinese palladium bar finished the day down 1.1 percent to CNY 174.00 ($28.00) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar rose 0.8 percent to JPY 2,320 ($24.61) per gram after a two-day drop. After a couple of days of improving prices, the price of US palladium bar held steady at $771.00.
