Japanese Silver Moves Down 1.6%

The day’s biggest mover was Japanese silver, dropping 1.6 percent to settle at JPY 837.00 ($8.98) per 10 grams on 2013-04-02 07:15:54. At $28.02 per ounce, US silver fell 1.0 percent yesterday. Indian silver prices saw a 0.7 percent decline to INR 52,276 ($962.64) per kilogram. The price of Chinese silver declined 0.6 percent to CNY 5,720 ($922.01) per kilogram.

Japanese gold bullion ended the day at JPY 4,781 ($51.30) per gram, after the 0.9 percent drop on Tuesday. Chinese gold bullion saw its price rise 0.2 percent to CNY 320.79 ($51.71) per gram. US gold bullion gained 0.1 percent to finish at $1,599 per ounce. Indian gold bullion finished the day down 0.1 percent to INR 29,496 ($543.15) per 10 grams.

US platinum bar prices rose 1.5 percent to $1,591 per ounce. The price of Chinese platinum bar increased 0.3 percent to CNY 335.00 ($54.00) per gram. The price of Japanese platinum bar fell 0.2 percent to JPY 4,768 ($51.16) per gram.

US palladium bar prices inched up 1.2 percent to $780.00 per ounce. After a 0.6 percent increase, Chinese palladium bar finished the day at CNY 175.00 ($28.21) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar showed little movement on Tuesday at JPY 2,320 ($24.89) per gram.
