The cash price of primary copper saw the biggest decline of the day, dropping 0.9 percent on the LME to close at $7,336 per metric ton on 2013-04-05 07:38:47. The copper 3-month price saw a 0.8 percent decline on the LME to $7,373 per metric ton.

At $3.98, the price of US copper producer grade 122 finished the market day up 0.5 percent per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 110 rose 0.5 percent to $3.98 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 rose 0.5 percent to $4.17 per pound. The Japanese copper cash price remained essentially flat at JPY 640,000 ($6,638) per metric ton.

Chinese copper prices were flat for the day. At CNY 55,780 ($8,991) per metric ton, the price of Chinese copper bar was essentially unchanged. The cash price of Chinese copper remained essentially flat at CNY 55,980 ($9,024) per metric ton. The price of Chinese copper wire remained essentially flat at CNY 54,775 ($8,829) per metric ton. Chinese bright copper scrap held its value last Friday at CNY 47,460 ($7,650) per metric ton.
