On April 10, 2013, the price of US copper producer grade 110 experienced the biggest change, rising 2.0 percent to $4.08 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 122 rose 2.0 percent to $4.08 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 rose 1.9 percent to $4.27 per pound. The cash price of primary Japanese copper continues hovering around JPY 640,000 ($6,466) per metric ton for the fifth day in a row.
Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese copper wire increased 0.7 percent to CNY 55,665 ($8,972) per metric ton. At CNY 56,500 ($9,106), the price of Chinese copper bar finished the market day up 0.6 percent per metric ton. The Chinese copper cash price inched up 0.6 percent to CNY 56,700 ($9,138) per metric ton. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap fell 0.5 percent yesterday to CNY 47,220 ($7,610) per metric ton.
At $7,515, the copper 3-month price finished the market day on the LME up 0.8 percent per metric ton. The cash price of primary copper flattened at $7,485 after two days of improvement on the LME.
