Current Copper Prices
Chinese copper wire had the largest decline on April 15, 2013, dropping 2.6 percent. The price of Chinese copper bar fell to a thirty-day low after drifting down 2.1 percent. After falling 2.1 percent, the cash price of Chinese copper reached a thirty-day low. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap showed little movement on Monday.
The price of US copper producer grade 122 saw a 2.0 percent decline. The price of US copper producer grade 110 weakened by 2.0 percent also, and US copper producer grade 102 fell 1.9 percent. The cash price of primary Japanese copper finished the market day up 0.4 percent per metric ton.
The cash price of primary copper held steady on Monday on the LME, remaining around $7,508 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the copper 3-month price saw little movement yesterday at $7,545 per metric ton.
Current Aluminum Prices
The cash price of primary Indian aluminum saw the biggest decline of the day, dropping 1.6 percent. The cash price of primary aluminum weakened by 0.8 percent on the LME, settling at $1,841 per metric ton. On the LME, the 3-month price of aluminum declined 0.7 percent to $1,876 per metric ton.
Chinese aluminum closed mixed on Monday. The Chinese aluminum cash price saw a 0.6 percent decline. The price of Chinese aluminum billet closed Monday by halting its two-day flat run with a 0.3 percent decline.
The price of Chinese aluminum scrap remained essentially flat. The price of Chinese aluminum bar saw little movement.
