Japanese Palladium Bar Moves Down 6.5%

Following a three-day flat streak, the price of Japanese palladium bar dropped by 6.5 percent to end at JPY 2,150 ($21.89) per gram on Friday, April 19. At $667.00, the price of US palladium bar finished the market day up 0.8 percent per ounce. Chinese palladium bar gained 0.6 percent to finish at CNY 157.00 ($25.33) per gram.

Japanese platinum bar prices rose 1.0 percent to JPY 4,609 ($46.92) per gram. Chinese platinum bar prices inched up 0.3 percent to CNY 309.00 ($49.85) per gram. At $1,419 per ounce, US platinum bar fell 0.2 percent last Friday.

The price of Japanese gold bullion finished the day at JPY 4,515 ($45.97) per gram following a 4.0 percent increase. Chinese gold bullion finished the day up 2.4 percent to CNY 279.09 ($45.02) per gram. US gold bullion saw its price rise 1.1 percent to $1,392 per ounce. The price of Indian gold bullion remained essentially flat at INR 26,273 ($486.26) per 10 grams.

The price of Chinese silver increased 2.8 percent to CNY 4,710 ($759.83) per kilogram. Following a quiet couple of days, the price of Japanese silver fell 0.7 percent last Friday to JPY 740.00 ($7.53) per 10 grams. US silver prices saw a 0.1 percent decline to $23.28 per ounce. The price of Indian silver steadied at INR 44,941 ($831.77) per kilogram following two-days of increases.
