Chinese Gold Bullion Increases 3.6%

Chinese gold bullion saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 3.6 percent to close at CNY 289.10 ($46.73) per gram on Monday, April 22. Indian gold bullion prices rose 1.0 percent to INR 26,548 ($492.17) per 10 grams. US gold bullion finished the day up 1.0 percent to $1,407 per ounce. At JPY 4,558 ($45.68), the price of Japanese gold bullion finished the market day up 1.0 percent per gram.

After a 1.6 percent increase, Japanese silver finished the day at JPY 752.00 ($7.54) per 10 grams. The price of Indian silver fell 1.1 percent to INR 44,444 ($823.95) per kilogram. Chinese silver gained 1.1 percent to finish at CNY 4,760 ($769.38) per kilogram. Following two days of downward movement, the price of US silver held steady at $23.29 per ounce.

Chinese platinum bar prices saw a 1.6 percent decline to CNY 304.00 ($49.14) per gram. Following a two-day drop, the price of US platinum bar increased by 0.4 percent to $1,425 per ounce. Japanese platinum bar closed 0.4 percent lower at JPY 4,590 ($46.00) per gram.

The price of US palladium bar increased 1.2 percent to $675.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar held its value on Monday at JPY 2,150 ($21.55) per gram. The price of Chinese palladium bar showed little movement on Monday at CNY 157.00 ($25.38) per gram.
