Rare Earths MMI®: Week of Sideways Trading for Cerium Oxide

Rare Earths MMI® metals had a quiet week, with cerium oxide hovering around CNY 36,500 ($5,900) per metric ton. Dysprosium oxide prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 1,775 ($286.90) per kilogram. At CNY 4,850 ($783.93) per kilogram, the price of europium oxide did not change since the previous week.

Lanthanum oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 34,000 ($5,496) per metric ton. Neodymium traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 425,000 ($68,407) per metric ton. Prices for neodymium remained constant, closing the week at CNY 425,000 ($68,407) per metric ton. Closing at CNY 325,000 ($52,531) per metric ton, neodymium oxide remained unchanged for the week.

Praseodymium oxide traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 367,500 ($59,401) per metric ton. Prices for rare earth carbonate remained constant, closing the week at CNY 27,500 ($4,445) per metric ton. Closing at CNY 47,500 ($7,678) per metric ton, samarium oxide remained unchanged for the week. At CNY 7,850 ($1,269) per kilogram, the week finished with no movement for terbium metal.

Terbium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 3,900 ($630.37) per kilogram. At CNY 87,500 ($14,143) per metric ton, the price of yttria did not change since the previous week. Following a steady week, prices for yttrium closed flat at CNY 400.00 ($64.65) per kilogram.
