At CNY 51,510 ($8,333), the price of Chinese copper wire finished the market day up 2.3 percent per metric ton. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap held steady at CNY 42,030 ($6,799) per metric ton.
Following a 1.6 percent rise on Thursday, the price of US copper producer grade 122 closed at $3.82 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 110 is back up, rising by 1.6 percent yesterday to close at $3.82 per pound. Following a two-day drop, the price of US copper producer grade 102 increased by 1.5 percent to $4.01 per pound. The Japanese copper cash price saw a 0.6 percent decline to JPY 709,000 ($7,131) per metric ton.
The copper 3-month price rose 1.9 percent on the LME to $6,973 per metric ton after a two-day drop. After falling for two days, the primary copper cash price rose 1.8 percent on the LME to $6,935 per metric ton.
