US copper producer grade 110 price saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 2.1 percent to close at $3.90 per pound on Friday, April 26. The price of US copper producer grade 122 rose 2.1 percent to $3.90 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 increased 2.0 percent to $4.09 per pound. The cash price of primary Japanese copper flattened at JPY 709,000 ($7,137) following two-days of declines.
Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. Chinese copper wire gained 1.7 percent to finish at CNY 52,360 ($8,481) per metric ton. Chinese copper bar saw its price rise 1.5 percent to CNY 53,600 ($8,682) per metric ton. The Chinese copper cash price rose 1.5 percent to CNY 53,800 ($8,714) per metric ton. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap remained steady at CNY 42,030 ($6,808) per metric ton.
On the LME, the cash price of primary copper gained 1.4 percent to finish at $7,033 per metric ton. At $7,055, the copper 3-month price finished the market day on the LME up 1.2 percent per metric ton.
