US Copper Producer Grade 122 Price 1.3% Lower

The price of US copper producer grade 110 fell 1.3 percent on Monday, April 29 to $3.85 per pound, making it the day’s biggest mover. Following a couple days of improvement, the price of US copper producer grade 122 weakened by 1.3 percent. Prices closed at $3.85 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 closed at $4.04 per pound. Following a couple days of improvement, prices fell by 1.2 percent. The Japanese copper cash price showed little movement on Monday, hovering around JPY 709,000 ($7,244) per metric ton.

Chinese copper prices were flat for the day. The price of Chinese copper bar flattened at CNY 53,600 ($8,696) after two days of improvement. The cash price of Chinese copper ended a two-day climb, settling at CNY 53,800 ($8,728) per metric ton. The price of Chinese copper wire steadied at CNY 52,360 ($8,495) per metric ton following two-days of increases. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap saw little movement at CNY 42,030 ($6,819) per metric ton.

On the LME, the copper 3-month price gained 0.6 percent to finish at $7,100 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the cash price of primary copper increased 0.3 percent to $7,055 per metric ton.
