On Friday, May 3, Chinese copper bar jumped up 1.7 percent, making it the day’s biggest increase. The Chinese copper cash price gained 1.7 percent. Chinese copper wire gained 0.3 percent. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap saw little movement.
Following a 0.5 percent rise last Friday, the price of US copper producer grade 122 closed up. After falling for two days, the price of US copper producer grade 110 rose 0.5 percent as well. The price of US copper producer grade 102 rose 0.5 percent after a two-day drop.
The 3-month price of copper saw a 0.1 percent decline on the LME to $6,899 per metric ton. The cash price of primary copper saw little price change last Friday on the LME at $6,870 per metric ton.
