The Indian nickel cash price saw a 3.0 percent increase on Wednesday, May 8, making it the biggest mover for the day.
On the LME, the 3-month price of nickel increased 0.5 percent to $15,040 per metric ton. At $14,960, the nickel spot price finished the market day on the LME up 0.4 percent per metric ton.
Chinese 304 and 316 stainless steel coil and scrap prices closed flat for the day. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome was unchanged. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Chinese ferro-moly remained essentially flat.
