Chinese palladium bar saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 1.9 percent to close at CNY 159.00 ($25.87) per gram on Tuesday, May 14. After a 1.1 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $716.00 per ounce. The price of Japanese palladium bar fell 0.6 percent to JPY 2,375 ($23.36) per gram.
The price of US platinum bar declined 1.7 percent to $1,477 per ounce, after two days of improvement. Following a couple days of improvement, the price of Chinese platinum bar weakened by 1.3 percent. Prices closed at CNY 312.00 ($50.76) per gram. Japanese platinum bar prices saw a 0.7 percent decline to JPY 4,906 ($48.25) per gram.
US gold bullion finished the day down 1.9 percent to $1,431 per ounce. Japanese gold bullion ended the day at JPY 4,706 ($46.29) per gram, after the 0.9 percent drop on Monday. The price of Chinese gold bullion declined 0.8 percent to CNY 293.20 ($47.70) per gram. Indian gold bullion prices inched up 0.2 percent to INR 27,005 ($492.47) per 10 grams.
The price of US silver fell 0.4 percent to $23.65 per ounce. At INR 44,494 ($811.41) per kilogram, Indian silver fell 0.4 percent yesterday. Chinese silver gained 0.2 percent to finish at CNY 4,770 ($776.09) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver remained essentially flat at JPY 770.00 ($7.57) per 10 grams.
