Renewables MMI®: Chinese Steel Plate Up 0.5% for Week

Chinese steel plate improved by 0.5 percent, reaching CNY 4,200 ($683.35) per metric ton on the weekly Renewables MMI®. Closing at CNY 203,000 ($33,028) per metric ton, Chinese cobalt cathodes remained unchanged for the week. Prices for silicon remained constant, closing the week at CNY 13,000 ($2,115) per metric ton. Following a steady week, prices for neodymium closed flat at CNY 425,000 ($68,407) per metric ton.

Japanese steel plate traded sideways last week, hovering around JPY 72,000 ($708.17) per metric ton. Korean steel plate prices held steady from the previous week at KRW 1.1 million ($1,007) per metric ton. The price of Chinese steel plate increased by a slight 0.5 percent over the past week to CNY 4,200 ($683.35) per metric ton. At $753.00 per short ton, the week finished with no movement for US steel plate.
