Big Change Hits Chinese Palladium Bar

On Wednesday, May 15, the day’s biggest mover was Chinese palladium bar, which saw a 5.7 percent decline to CNY 150.00 ($24.42) per gram. The price of US palladium bar increased 1.7 percent to $728.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar prices rose 1.5 percent to JPY 2,410 ($23.58) per gram.

At $1,498, the price of US platinum bar finished the market day up 1.4 percent per ounce. Japanese platinum bar saw its price rise 0.9 percent to JPY 4,948 ($48.41) per gram. Chinese platinum bar finished the day up 0.3 percent to CNY 313.00 ($50.96) per gram.

At CNY 289.10 ($47.07) per gram, Chinese gold bullion fell 1.4 percent yesterday. Indian gold bullion finished the day down 1.0 percent to INR 26,746 ($488.02) per 10 grams. Japanese gold bullion ended the day at JPY 4,665 ($45.64) per gram, after the 0.9 percent drop on Wednesday. US gold bullion closed 0.3 percent lower at $1,426 per ounce.

The price of Indian silver fell 2.0 percent to INR 43,590 ($795.36) per kilogram. Chinese silver prices saw a 1.4 percent decline to CNY 4,705 ($766.02) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver fell 1.0 percent to JPY 762.00 ($7.46) per 10 grams yesterday after two days of no change. US silver ended the day at $23.41 per ounce, after the 1.0 percent drop on Wednesday.
