The aluminum cash price saw a 1.3 percent increase on Wednesday, May 22, reaching $1,835 per metric ton on the LME and making it the biggest mover for the day. On the LME, the aluminum 3-month price rose 1.2 percent to $1,868 per metric ton.
Chinese aluminum closed mixed on Wednesday. The Chinese aluminum cash price gained 0.3 percent. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap held steady. The price of Chinese aluminum billet saw little movement. The price of Chinese aluminum bar continues hovering in place for the fifth day in a row.
