Following a 0.5 percent decline to CNY 200,000 ($32,661) per metric ton, Chinese cobalt cathodes finished as the week’s biggest mover on the weekly Renewables MMI®. Silicon traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 13,000 ($2,123) per metric ton. At CNY 425,000 ($68,407) per metric ton, the price of neodymium did not change since the previous week. Prices for Chinese steel plate remained constant, closing the week at CNY 4,200 ($685.88) per metric ton.
Japanese steel plate traded sideways last week, hovering around JPY 72,000 ($712.20) per metric ton. Korean steel plate remained essentially flat from the previous week at KRW 1.1 million ($986.26) per metric ton. At CNY 4,200 ($685.88) per metric ton, the price of Chinese steel plate did not change since the previous week. Closing at $736.00 per short ton, US steel plate remained unchanged for the week.
