The cash price of primary Indian aluminum saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 1.6 percent to close at INR 102.40 ($1.82) per kilogram on Wednesday, May 29. On the LME, the cash price of primary aluminum fell 0.4 percent to $1,808 per metric ton. The aluminum 3-month price saw a 0.2 percent decline on the LME to $1,844 per metric ton.
Chinese aluminum closed mixed yesterday. Closing out a three-day flat streak, the Chinese aluminum cash price moved up 0.1 percent to CNY 14,640 ($2,391) per metric ton. At CNY 13,030 ($2,128) per metric ton, the price of Chinese aluminum scrap was essentially unchanged. The price of Chinese aluminum billet remained essentially flat at CNY 14,550 ($2,376) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum bar was unchanged at CNY 14,050 ($2,294) per metric ton.
