Cash Price of Japanese Copper Improves Slightly

On Thursday, May 30, the Japanese copper cash price experienced the biggest change, rising 1.6 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 110 weakened by 0.5 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 122 fell 0.5 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 102 declined 0.5 percent.

Chinese copper closed mixed on Thursday. Chinese copper wire ended the day after a 1.2 percent drop on Thursday. Chinese copper bar closed 1.0 percent lower. The cash price of Chinese copper saw a 1.0 percent decline. Chinese bright copper scrap saw little change in its price yesterday.

The 3-month price of copper weakened by 1.3 percent on the LME, settling at $7,201 per metric ton. The cash price of primary copper saw a 0.3 percent decline on the LME to $7,235 per metric ton.
