Cash Price of Primary Indian Aluminum Rises 1.7%

The cash price of primary Indian aluminum saw the biggest increase at 1.7 percent, finishing at INR 104.15 ($1.85) per kilogram for Thursday, May 30. On the LME, the 3-month price of aluminum rose 0.7 percent to $1,857 per metric ton. On the LME, the primary aluminum cash price gained 0.7 percent to finish at $1,821 per metric ton.

Chinese aluminum prices were mixed for the day. The cash price of Chinese aluminum inched up 0.1 percent to CNY 14,660 ($2,390) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap saw little movement at CNY 13,030 ($2,124) per metric ton. Chinese aluminum billet stayed flat at around CNY 14,550 ($2,372) per metric ton. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese aluminum bar held flat at CNY 14,050 ($2,291) per metric ton.
