Chinese stainless steel prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome remained essentially flat at CNY 8,300 ($1,353) per metric ton. The price of Chinese ferro-moly continues hovering around CNY 145,000 ($23,640) per metric ton for the fifth day in a row.

A Thursday price drop of 0.4 percent carried the price of Chinese primary nickel to a 30-day low of CNY 104,450 ($17,029) per metric ton. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Chinese 316 stainless coil remained essentially flat at CNY 26,000 ($4,239) per metric ton. The price of Chinese 304 stainless coil saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row, remaining around CNY 16,400 ($2,674) per metric ton. The price of Chinese 316 stainless steel scrap saw little movement at CNY 16,100 ($2,625) per metric ton. The Indian nickel cash price weakened by 1.2 percent, settling at INR 821.20 ($14.56) per kilogram. On the LME, the nickel spot price fell 0.3 percent to $14,775 per metric ton. On the LME, the nickel 3-month price declined 0.1 percent to $14,840 per metric ton.
