US Gold Bullion Shifts 2.3%

At $1,414 per ounce, US gold bullion moved up 2.3 percent on Friday, May 31, the day’s biggest change. Indian gold bullion prices rose 1.2 percent to INR 26,845 ($476.10) per 10 grams. After a 0.4 percent increase, Japanese gold bullion finished the day at JPY 4,560 ($45.10) per gram. Following a 0.2 percent rise yesterday, the price of Chinese gold bullion closed at CNY 279.20 ($45.52) per gram.

US silver saw its price rise 2.3 percent to $22.78 per ounce. The price of Indian silver is back up, rising by 1.7 percent on Thursday to close at INR 44,098 ($782.08) per kilogram. Chinese silver prices inched up 1.0 percent to CNY 4,535 ($739.35) per kilogram. At JPY 736.00 ($7.28) per 10 grams, the price of Japanese silver was essentially unchanged.

At $1,483, the price of US platinum bar finished the market day up 1.6 percent per ounce. The price of Japanese platinum bar fell 1.4 percent to JPY 4,769 ($47.17) per gram. Chinese platinum bar prices saw a 0.7 percent decline to CNY 305.00 ($49.72) per gram.

Chinese palladium bar gained 1.2 percent to finish at CNY 167.00 ($27.23) per gram. The price of US palladium bar increased 0.1 percent to $756.00 per ounce. The price of Japanese palladium bar showed little movement on Thursday at JPY 2,432 ($24.05) per gram.
