US copper producer grade 110 price saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 1.0 percent to close at $4.03 per pound on Wednesday, June 5. The price of US copper producer grade 122 gained 1.0 percent to finish at $4.03 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 inched up 1.0 percent to $4.22 per pound. The Japanese copper cash price saw a 0.7 percent decline to JPY 738,000 ($7,360) per metric ton.
Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. Chinese copper wire saw its price rise 0.4 percent to CNY 54,070 ($8,821) per metric ton. The price of Chinese copper bar increased 0.3 percent to CNY 54,860 ($8,950) per metric ton. The cash price of Chinese copper rose 0.3 percent to CNY 55,060 ($8,982) per metric ton. Chinese bright copper scrap saw little change in its price yesterday at CNY 44,980 ($7,338) per metric ton.
On the LME, the copper 3-month price inched up 0.2 percent to $7,370 per metric ton. The cash price of primary copper saw little movement yesterday on the LME, closing out around $7,337 per metric ton.
