Indian Silver Jumps 3.7%

Closing at INR 46,049 ($809.09) per kilogram on the Friday, June 7, Indian silver rose 3.7 percent to finish as the day’s biggest mover. Chinese silver prices rose 0.8 percent to CNY 4,540 ($739.55) per kilogram. At $22.59, the price of US silver finished the market day up 0.2 percent per ounce. The price of Japanese silver remained steady at JPY 715.00 ($7.36) per 10 grams.

After a 2.2 percent increase, Indian gold bullion finished the day at INR 28,238 ($496.15) per 10 grams. Japanese gold bullion closed 1.5 percent lower at JPY 4,387 ($45.13) per gram. Following a 0.9 percent rise last Friday, the price of Chinese gold bullion closed at CNY 280.65 ($45.72) per gram. US gold bullion saw its price rise 0.8 percent to $1,414 per ounce.

Chinese platinum bar finished the day up 1.9 percent to CNY 320.00 ($52.13) per gram. US platinum bar prices inched up 1.1 percent to $1,527 per ounce. Japanese platinum bar ended the day at JPY 4,787 ($49.25) per gram, after the 1.0 percent drop last Friday.

After three essentially changeless days, the price of Japanese palladium bar dropped 1.7 percent last Friday to JPY 2,390 ($24.59) per gram. The price of US palladium bar increased 0.4 percent to $760.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar held its value last Friday at CNY 168.00 ($27.37) per gram.
