Small Drift for Cash Price of Aluminum

The cash price of primary aluminum saw the biggest decline of the day, dropping 1.6 percent on the LME to close at $1,813 per metric ton on Friday, June 14. On the LME, the 3-month price of aluminum fell 1.4 percent to $1,856 per metric ton. The Indian aluminum cash price saw a 1.0 percent decline to INR 104.80 ($1.81) per kilogram.

Chinese aluminum prices closed flat for the day. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap was unchanged at CNY 13,170 ($2,146) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum billet saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row, remaining around CNY 14,850 ($2,420) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum bar continues hovering around CNY 14,050 ($2,289) per metric ton for the fifth day in a row. The Chinese aluminum cash price saw little movement last Friday, closing out around CNY 14,935 ($2,434) per metric ton.
