Chinese Silver Hits 30-Day Price Low

Chinese silver saw the biggest price decline of the day, dropping 1.2 percent to close at CNY 4,350 ($709.62) per kilogram on Wednesday, June 19. Following a couple days of improvement, the price of Japanese silver weakened by 0.9 percent. Prices closed at JPY 664.00 ($6.95) per 10 grams. US silver saw its price drop 0.7 percent to a 30-day low of $21.68 per ounce on Wednesday. The price of Indian silver declined 0.4 percent to INR 43,877 ($745.63) per kilogram, after two days of improvement.

US gold bullion closed 1.2 percent lower at $1,368 per ounce. The price of Chinese gold bullion declined 1.0 percent to CNY 273.46 ($44.61) per gram. The price of Indian gold bullion closed at INR 27,883 ($473.83) per 10 grams. Following a couple days of improvement, the metal’s price weakened by 0.6 percent. Japanese gold bullion prices saw a 0.5 percent decline to JPY 4,186 ($43.80) per gram.

The price of US platinum bar rose 0.6 percent to $1,441 per ounce after a two-day drop. After falling for two days, the price of Japanese platinum bar rose 0.4 percent to JPY 4,411 ($46.15) per gram. Chinese platinum bar ended the day at CNY 302.00 ($49.27) per gram, after the 0.3 percent drop on Wednesday.

At $708.00 per ounce, US palladium bar fell 0.7 percent yesterday. Chinese palladium bar finished the day down 0.6 percent to CNY 157.00 ($25.61) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar remained steady at JPY 2,178 ($22.79) per gram.
