Chinese Silver Hits 30-Day Low

 The day’s biggest mover was Chinese silver, dropping 8.9 percent to settle at CNY 3,910 ($637.72) per kilogram on Friday, June 21. Last Fridaylast Friday price drop of 8.2 percent carried the price of US silver to a 30-day low of $19.60 per ounce. Indian silver fell 5.3 percent to INR 42,680 ($716.40) per kilogram. At JPY 665.00 ($6.85), the price of Japanese silver finished the market day up 0.2 percent per 10 grams.

US gold bullion saw its price drop 5.4 percent to a 30-day low of $1,278 per ounce last Friday. After falling 3.7 percent to CNY 259.55 ($42.33) per gram, the price of Chinese gold bullion reached a 30-day low. Indian gold bullion prices fell 3.4 percent, landing at INR 27,245 ($457.32) per 10 grams last Friday. Japanese gold bullion prices rose 0.3 percent to JPY 4,197 ($43.25) per gram.

The price of Chinese platinum bar fell to a 30-day low at CNY 285.00 ($46.48) per gram after shifting 4.4 percent. The price of US platinum bar reached a 30-day low after decreasing 3.8 percent to $1,357 per ounce. After a 0.4 percent increase, Japanese platinum bar finished the day at JPY 4,430 ($45.65) per gram.

At $662.00 per ounce, US palladium bar was down 4.5 percent from the previous market day. A $5.00 price decline in the Chinese palladium bar left the price at CNY 148.00 ($24.14) per gram. Japanese palladium bar stayed flat at around JPY 2,178 ($22.44) per gram.
