Current Copper Prices
With a decline of 2.0 percent on the LME to $6,637 per metric ton on Tuesday, June 25, the cash price of primary copper recorded the biggest decline of the day. The 3-month price of copper fell 1.9 percent to a 30-day low on the LME of $6,675 per metric ton yesterday.
The price of US copper producer grade 122 fell to a 30-day low after shifting 1.9 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 110 reached a 30-day low after decreasing 1.9 percent as well. The price of US copper producer grade 102 fell to a 30-day low after shifting 1.8 percent. The Japanese copper cash price flattened following two days of declines.
Chinese copper closed mixed on Tuesday. The price of Chinese copper wire fell 1.6 percent to a 30-day low yesterday. After falling 1.3 percent, the price of Chinese copper bar reached a 30-day low. Chinese primary cash copper saw its price drop 1.3 percent to a 30-day low on Tuesday. Chinese bright copper scrap saw little change in its price yesterday.
Current Aluminum Prices
Dropping 1.1 percent on the LME, the cash price of primary aluminum was the biggest mover on Tuesday, June 25, closing at $1,729 per metric ton. The 3-month price of aluminum reached a 30-day low on the LME after decreasing 0.9 percent to $1,776 per metric ton.
The Indian aluminum cash price gained 0.9 percent.
Chinese aluminum prices were mixed for the day. Chinese aluminum billet closed 0.3 percent lower. The Chinese aluminum cash price saw a 0.1 percent decline. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap flattened following two days of declines. The price of Chinese aluminum bar saw little movement.
