At $3.74 per pound, the price of US copper producer grade 110 moved up 1.4 percent on Wednesday, June 26, making it the day’s biggest mover. After hitting a 30-day low of $3.74 per pound on Monday, June 24, the price of US copper producer grade 122 rose 1.4 percent yesterday. Just off of a 30-day low of $3.93 per pound, the price of US copper producer grade 102 rose 1.3 percent yesterday. The Japanese copper cash price held steady around JPY 685,000 ($6,977) per metric ton.

Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese copper wire rose 0.6 percent yesterday, just off the 30-day low of CNY 49,175 ($8,001) per metric ton it hit on Monday, June 24. After hitting a 30-day low of CNY 50,150 ($8,159) per metric ton on Monday, June 24, the price of Chinese copper bar rose 0.6 percent yesterday. Just off of a 30-day low of CNY 50,350 ($8,192) per metric ton, the Chinese copper cash price rose 0.6 percent yesterday. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap held steady at CNY 41,130 ($6,692) per metric ton.

The copper 3-month price rose 1.3 percent yesterday on the LME, just off the 30-day low of $6,765 per metric ton it hit on Monday, June 24. Just off of a 30-day low of $6,726 per metric ton, the primary copper cash price rose 1.3 percent on Wednesday on the LME.
