Chinese Gold Bullion Hits 30-Day Price Low

Closing at CNY 242.90 ($39.42) per gram on Friday, June 28, Chinese gold bullion saw the biggest change at a 2.6 percent. The price of US gold bullion fell to a 30-day low at $1,201 per ounce after shifting 2.0 percent. The price of Indian gold bullion reached a 30-day low after decreasing 2.0 percent to INR 25,450 ($422.79) per 10 grams. After a couple of days of decreasing prices, the price of Japanese gold bullion held steady at JPY 3,910 ($39.69).

Last Fridaylast Friday price drop of 2.0 percent carried the price of Chinese silver to a 30-day low of CNY 3,700 ($600.40) per kilogram. Indian silver ended the day at INR 38,792 ($644.43) per kilogram, after the 1.2 percent drop last Friday. After dropping for two days, the price of US silver flattened at $18.51. The price of Japanese silver flattened at JPY 582.00 ($5.91) per 10 grams after two days of downward movement.

The price of US platinum bar rose 1.3 percent last Friday, just off the 30-day low of $1,314 per ounce it hit on Wednesday, June 26. After falling 0.7 percent to CNY 276.00 ($44.79) per gram, the price of Chinese platinum bar reached a 30-day low. The price of Japanese platinum bar remained essentially flat at JPY 4,205 ($42.69) per gram.

After a 2.2 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $644.00 per ounce. The price of Chinese palladium bar declined 1.4 percent to CNY 142.00 ($23.04) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar flattened at JPY 2,029 ($20.60) following two-days of declines.
