Electrical Steel, Plate Prices Quiet on Renewable Energy Metals Index

After falling 1.5 percent, silicon landed lower, making it the week’s biggest mover on the weekly Renewables MMI®. The week finished with no movement for Chinese cobalt cathodes. Neodymium remained unchanged for the week.

The price of Japanese steel plate did not change since the previous week. Korean steel plate remained essentially flat from the previous week. Prices for Chinese steel plate remained constant. US steel plate fell 0.8 percent over the past week.

The US grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) coil price was unchanged from last month.
