Indian Silver Price Climbs 3.6% on Precious Metals Index

With a 3.6 percent increase on Thursday, July 4, Indian silver was the biggest mover on the daily Global Precious Metals MMI®. US silver gained 1.8 percent. After a 0.4 percent increase, Chinese silver finished the day higher. The price of Japanese silver steadied following two days of increases.

US gold bullion prices rose 0.8 percent. Indian gold bullion prices inched up 0.7 percent. The price of Chinese gold bullion finished the market day up 0.5 percent per gram. Japanese gold bullion saw little change in its price on Wednesday.

US platinum bar fell 1.8 percent yesterday. The price of Chinese platinum bar fell 0.5 percent. The price of Japanese platinum bar was essentially unchanged.

The price of US palladium bar, following a couple days of improvement, fell by 0.3 percent. Following a two-day rise, the price of Japanese palladium bar flattened. The price of Chinese palladium bar showed little movement yesterday.
