Chinese Silver Gains 3.6%

On Thursday, July 11, the day’s biggest mover was Chinese silver, which saw a 3.6 percent increase to CNY 3,985 ($649.58) per kilogram. At INR 41,101 ($686.21), the price of Indian silver finished the market day up 2.7 percent per kilogram. Japanese silver prices rose 1.1 percent to JPY 632.00 ($6.38) per 10 grams. US silver saw its price rise 1.1 percent to $19.47 per ounce.

Chinese gold bullion gained 2.6 percent to finish at CNY 258.65 ($42.16) per gram. Indian gold bullion prices inched up 2.0 percent to INR 26,727 ($446.23) per 10 grams. The price of US gold bullion increased 1.0 percent to $1,263 per ounce. Japanese gold bullion finished the day up 0.3 percent to JPY 4,106 ($41.46) per gram.

After a 1.7 percent increase, Chinese platinum bar finished the day at CNY 291.00 ($47.43) per gram. Japanese platinum bar finished the day down 0.5 percent to JPY 4,480 ($45.23) per gram. US platinum bar prices rose 0.4 percent to $1,372 per ounce.

One of the day’s biggest changes moved Chinese palladium bar ahead by 3.5 percent, landing at CNY 161.00 ($26.24) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar increased 2.8 percent to JPY 2,326 ($23.48) per gram. US palladium bar gained 2.3 percent to finish at $714.00 per ounce.
