US Silver Rises 3.5%

US silver saw a 3.5 percent increase on Friday, July 12, reaching $20.15 per ounce and making it the biggest upwards shift of the day. The price of Indian silver closed at INR 40,848 ($682.68) per kilogram. Following a couple days of improvement, prices fell by 0.6 percent. After a 0.5 percent increase, Chinese silver finished the day at CNY 4,005 ($652.56) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver showed little movement last Friday at JPY 632.00 ($6.39) per 10 grams.

US gold bullion saw its price rise 1.8 percent to $1,286 per ounce. Indian gold bullion prices saw a 0.5 percent decline to INR 26,592 ($444.43) per 10 grams. Japanese gold bullion closed 0.4 percent lower at JPY 4,088 ($41.36) per gram. The price of Chinese gold bullion remained steady at CNY 258.60 ($42.14) per gram.

At $1,403, the price of US platinum bar finished the market day up 2.3 percent per ounce. Chinese platinum bar finished the day up 2.1 percent to CNY 297.00 ($48.39) per gram. Japanese platinum bar prices inched up 0.5 percent to JPY 4,503 ($45.56) per gram.

After a 0.7 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $719.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar held its value last Friday at JPY 2,326 ($23.53) per gram. Chinese palladium bar saw little change in its price last Friday at CNY 161.00 ($26.23) per gram.
