Rare Earths MMI®: Week Closes Flat for Cerium Oxide

Prices for cerium oxide didn’t move this week, staying around CNY 27,500 ($4,478) per metric ton. Other metals on the weekly Rare Earths MMI® followed suit. Following a steady week, prices for dysprosium oxide closed flat at CNY 1,450 ($236.13) per kilogram. At CNY 3,800 ($618.82) per kilogram, the week finished with no movement for europium oxide.

Lanthanum oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 27,000 ($4,397) per metric ton. Closing at CNY 335,000 ($54,573) per metric ton, neodymium remained unchanged for the week. Prices for neodymium remained constant, closing the week at CNY 335,000 ($54,573) per metric ton. At CNY 255,000 ($41,526) per metric ton, the price of neodymium oxide did not change since the previous week.

Praseodymium oxide traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 375,000 ($61,068) per metric ton. Rare earth carbonate prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 27,500 ($4,478) per metric ton. Following a steady week, prices for samarium oxide closed flat at CNY 23,000 ($3,746) per metric ton. Terbium metal traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 4,700 ($765.38) per kilogram.

Terbium oxide prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 2,900 ($472.26) per kilogram. Yttria remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 52,500 ($8,550) per metric ton. Prices for yttrium remained constant, closing the week at CNY 255.00 ($41.53) per kilogram.
